'UK's Sikh organization condemns lapse in security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi'

The UK-based British Sikh organization has condemned the security lapse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab's Ferozepur district.

The chairman of the organization, Lord Rami Ranger CBE, issued a statement saying that the Prime Minister does not represent just one state, but the entire country. So no one should underestimate the authority of the leader who has to run the country. It is very sad that during his visit a mob of riotous people was allowed to obstruct his security arrangements.

The association said the country was waiting to see what message the Prime Minister had brought to the people of Punjab. Lord Rami also said that no prime minister has done as much for the people of Punjab as he has. To respect the religious sentiments of the people, he opened the Kartarpur Corridor. He promoted the teachings and biographies of Sikh Gurus to the world through out-of-the-box Indian diplomatic missions. He said that no other Prime Minister has displayed such reverence for the Sikh Gurus.

Let us inform that on January 5, a rally of PM Modi was to be held in Ferozepur, Punjab. Prime Minister Modi's convoy halted for about 15-20 minutes at the Pyareana flyover, about 22 km from the National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala, Ferozepur. The road was blocked by the protesters from the front amid light rain.
