Jammu and Kashmir police held a Thana devas in a Zainapora Shopian. Top police officials, including Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Home Department, RK Goel, DGP Jammu and Kashmir Dilbagh Sing, ADGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, SSP Shopian Ms Tanushree and other Police and Civil officials remained present.
It was the first ever such a mega and massive thana Devas where such top officials remained present and thousands of people also attended thana devas and put their demands including DGP recruitments, Oppeining of police public school, Aditional SP in the area and Free movement of fruit laden trucks. The police officials assured that they will work on the demands of the public and will use their best efforts in the interest of the public.
While addressing the gathering in Thana devas, DGP Jammu and Kashmir said that the circumstances in Zainapora belt have completely changed and zainapora was the main heart of militants in Shopian and he calls that it is the achievement of security agencies and now the youth of zainpora demands for education, sports and development. Furthermore, he praises the locals of the Zainapora area for having such respect and regard for the police department.
Furthermore, when talking to the media, he said that peace has prevailed in the Valley and now it would be a collective responsibility of both the public and the police to take care of peace. Opening Cinemas in the valley is a green indication that the situation in the valley is peaceful now. Further, he said that there are still existing launching pads on the park side to infiltrate but the security agencies are not letting them come out of launching pads.
