There was no way but to leave Kabul: Ashraf Ghani

'There was no way but to leave Kabul: Ashraf Ghani'

Former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has said he had no choice but to leave Kabul.

Ghani told a media organization that his advisor had given him very little time to take this decision. At the same time, he has denied the allegations against him, in which it is said that he ran away with money from Afghanistan.

He told that that morning he did not even realize that he would leave the country by noon.

Earlier this month, former Afghan President Hamid Karzai said in an interview given earlier this month that Ghani's sudden departure ruined opportunities for government negotiators to hold talks with the Taliban.

It is noteworthy that on August 15, the Taliban took control of the entire country including the capital Kabul. He had also completely occupied the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
