On 17th April 2025, SDM Mahore visited Bagga Market in the BMG Road area, where several houses were affected by mud and water flooding following intense rainfall on 16th April. During the visit, he conducted a thorough inspection of the road alignment and nearby sites impacted by the weather.
The SDM also inspected the under-construction Badora Bridge in Sarh Village, a crucial part of the BMG Road project, accompanied by officials of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). He reviewed the pace and quality of ongoing work and issued necessary instructions to the BRO team for accelerating the construction while ensuring adherence to standards.
BRO officials assured full cooperation and committed to the timely completion of the BMG Road, recognizing the importance of the route for regional connectivity and development.
In his address to the locals, SDM Mahore assured that compensation for affected houses would be finalized at the earliest, and that land compensation issues would be taken up on priority to remove administrative bottlenecks and facilitate uninterrupted construction.
Importantly, the local public of Sarh Village assured the SDM and BRO officials of their full cooperation in allowing the pending earth cutting work, which had earlier been held up due to the non-finalisation of the final award. This assurance marks a positive step toward resolving longstanding hurdles and accelerating the road construction process.
