Based on a written complaint lodged by one lady in Police Station Udhampur stating that when she was coming from bus stand Udhampur, one miscreant restrained her way and snatched her bag (purse) and fled away from the spot.
On this a case FIR No 156/2022 U/S 382 IPC got registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started.
After this special police team of Police Station Udhampur was constituted under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Sh.Sahil Mahajan were constituted. The team led by SHO Police Station Udhampur Insp. Raghubir Singh and assisted by PSI Rahul Jamwal did strenuous efforts and finally arrested the accused namely Rakesh Kumar S/O Yashpal R/O Ossu, Udhampur.
On sustained questioning accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen items were also recovered from his possession.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
