A few days before the Republic Day, the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosive found in Ghazipur Mandi has given sleep to the security agencies. Alerts of attacks on Republic Day are also being received continuously from the Intelligence Department. In view of this, the leave of all the employees of Delhi Police has been canceled till Republic Day. Now policemen will be able to get leave only for medical emergencies.

According to the police, the IED was found in Ghazipur Mandi on Friday morning. About three kg of RDX and ammonium nitrate were kept in it. Through this there was a conspiracy to make a big blast in Ghazipur Mandi. However, due to the wisdom of the people, the police got information about this bomb in time, after which it was disposed of. Despite this, the threat of attack on Delhi is not averted yet. Therefore, on behalf of Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana, all the policemen have been instructed to remain alert in their respective areas.



An order has been issued by the Special Commissioner of Delhi Police Sundari Nanda regarding the Republic Day parade arrangements. It has been said that keeping in mind the security and arrangements for the Republic Day event, no policeman will be given leave for the next few days. This order will be applicable from constable to senior officers.

He has said in his order that during this time only a policeman can be given leave for medical emergency. He has asked to deploy maximum number of policemen on duty so that elaborate security arrangements can be made. At present, the checking of hotel guest houses, cyber cafe checking and verification of servants have been intensified in the capital. During this, action is also being taken against them if deficiency is found. The police have also appealed to the people to immediately inform the police if they see any suspicious object or any suspicious movement.
