Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Saturday visited the District Hospital Ganderbal to assess the healthcare facilities in place following the recent heavy snowfall that disrupted life across the Kashmir Valley.
The visit aimed to evaluate how the hospital is managing patient care amid the harsh winter conditions. During his inspection, Abdullah interacted with hospital staff, patients, and their families to understand the challenges in delivering healthcare services under such circumstances.
Omar Abdullah stressed the need for continuous and uninterrupted medical care, particularly during the winter months. He inquired about the availability of essential medicines, heating arrangements, and medical equipment, and reviewed the hospital's preparedness to handle emergencies caused by the snow.
The hospital administration assured the Chief Minister that steps are being taken to address any service delivery gaps and ensure smooth operations during the ongoing winter challenges.
