'Nepal plane crash: bodies of 14 out of 22 people recovered'

Nepal's army on Monday traced the spot where a 19-seater plane of Nepal's private airline Tara Air crashed on Sunday. According to the Nepalese army, the bodies of 14 people have been recovered. The bodies of some people are yet to be identified. The Nepalese Army has released photos from the crash site.



The 9 NAET twin-engine aircraft of Tara Air crashed in Kowang village of Mustang district, hours after it went missing in the hills district on Sunday morning. There were 22 people on board, including four Indians.



A team led by Police Inspector Raj Kumar Tamang reached the accident site by air. Officials said some of the bodies of the passengers are yet to be identified. At the moment, the police are collecting the remains.



Earlier, the Nepal Army said that the rescue operation has been resumed in the morning to find the Tara Air plane. The operation was called off after snowfall in Mustang district on Sunday.



Nepal's army quoted local citizens as saying that the plane crashed at the mouth of Lamche river due to a landslide in Manapati Himal.



Nepal Army spokesman Narayan Silwal said the search and rescue team located the crash site on Monday morning. The wreckage of the missing plane was found scattered in a foothill located in the area.



It is noteworthy that the Tara Air plane that took off from Pokhara airport went missing on Sunday morning. There were 19 passengers and three crew members on board the plane. According to the airline company, these include 13 Nepalese, four Indians and two German nationals.
