Central University of Jammu today organized an awareness Session on National Digital Library of India Club (NDLI Club). The session took place in Virtual Mode and was moderated by Ananya Guha, Project Officer, NDLI Club Council, IIT Kharagpur. The session was joined by research scholars of various disciplines. More than hundred scholars had registered for the session through the online mode.
The National Digital Library of India Club (NDLI Club) provides opportunities for students, job seekers, researchers, and learners to further their careers. NDLI Clubs are established at institutes and nodal bodies, and these Clubs hold activities to help students gain knowledge, skills, and qualities beyond the usual curriculum that are required for advancement in their particular professional domains. The events might be either physical or virtual. Virtual events are web-based and take place through the NDLI Club platform. Events are scheduled at the institute level.
During the virtual session, participants learned about the extensive collection of e-books, journals, and other academic materials available on the NDLI platform. The program also emphasized the importance of digital literacy in the context of today's rapidly evolving information ecosystem.
Mr. Romesh Chander, Assistant Librarian thanked NDLI Club Council and encouraged students to use the National Digital Library for dissertations and Research Purpose. He also thanked Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor Central University of Jammu, for promoting such events and encouraging students for innovative research in their respective disciplines. Ms. Prerna Parasar, Assistant Librarian, CUJ gave a formal vote of thanks.
