The danger of recession is looming in the new year. After Twitter, Amazon, Meta and Ola, the world's largest software company Microsoft is also preparing to lay off employees on a large scale. Microsoft has prepared a plan to reduce 5 percent i.e. about 11 thousand employees.



According to the report, the retrenchment going to start from Wednesday in Microsoft is going to affect 11,000 employees. The retrenchment in the software company is going to start from the engineering department. Earlier, many companies including Twitter, Amazon and Meta have laid off in view of slow demand and deteriorating global economic conditions.



According to a figure, till June 30 last year, there were a total of 2 lakh 21 thousand permanent employees in Microsoft. Of these, 1 lakh 22 thousand employees were employed in the United States, while 99 thousand employees were working internationally.
