During Navratras and Ramzan, PM Narendra Modi can give a gift to the people of Jammu and Kashmir by starting a rail service to Kashmir. Preparations are going on at a war footing to run the Vande Bharat Express train to Kashmir on a regular basis.
According to railway sources, on the auspicious occasion of Eid and Navratras, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate the running of the train on the Katra-Srinagar track. Although no date has been officially announced yet, sources say that the railway administration has started preparations and it is being said that Vande Bharat Express will be run as the first train.
It is worth noting that a successful trial of running a train on this railway track has been done and a train has already been run on this track at a speed of about 75 to 80 kilometers per hour. Now preparations have also been made to run mail and express trains to Srinagar along with Vande Bharat.
Let us tell you that the distance of the railway track from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station to Srinagar is about 200 km and Vande Bharat train will cover this distance in about 3 hours 10 minutes, while if we talk about the mail express train, this distance will be covered in about 3 hours 20 minutes.
Vande Bharat train will run 6 days a week. It will depart from Katra station at 8:10 am and will reach Srinagar at 11:20 am. At the same time, the mail express train will run daily. This train will depart from Katra station at 9:50 am and will reach Srinagar railway station at 1:10 pm, while the second mail express train will depart from Katra station at 4 pm and will reach Srinagar railway station at 6:20 pm.
In the return direction from Srinagar, Vande Bharat will depart at 12:45 PM and reach Katra at 3:55 PM while the first mail express will depart from Srinagar railway station at 8:45 AM in the morning and reach Katra at 12 PM. While the second mail express will depart at 3:10 PM and reach Katra at 6:30 PM.
