Jammu-Srinagar National Highway still closed

'Jammu-Srinagar National Highway still closed'

The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained closed for vehicular movement on Tuesday as well. Landslides took place in Chandrakot and Banihal areas located on the National Highway, due to which the highway was closed from both sides from Monday morning, which is also closed today i.e. Tuesday.

As soon as the weather clears up and the slippage on the highway reduces, the highway will be cleared and opened for vehicular traffic once again with the help of BRO machines.

On the other hand, the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri highway is closed for vehicular movement from both the sides due to the landslide. Meanwhile, the Mughal road connecting Rajouri and Poonch districts to South Kashmir's Shopian is still closed due to snowfall.
