Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir expressed deep anguish over the incident in a heartfelt statement on X, condemning the attack in the strongest terms. As a gesture of support, the J&K government has announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹10 lakh for the families of each deceased victim, ₹2 lakh for those seriously injured, and ₹1 lakh for individuals with minor injuries. While acknowledging that no amount of money can compensate for the loss of loved ones, the Chief Minister stated that the relief is a mark of solidarity with the affected families.
The government has also made arrangements for the dignified transport of the victims' bodies to their homes and is ensuring the best possible medical care for the injured. "Our hearts go out to the bereaved families. We share in your grief and stand by you in this dark hour," the Chief Minister added, reaffirming the administration’s resolve to combat terrorism.
