'Jal Jeevan Mission to  provide clean tap water to every home in J&K'

On saturday afternoon Jal Jeevan Mission work worth 5 Crore was inaugrated in Panchayat Raj Nagar Upper of Block Budhal New by Sarpanch Nasreen Akhter in presence of prominent personalities namely Manzoor Naik, Nazir Sarpanch, Shabir Aflatoon, Iqbal Thakker and officers from Jal Shakti Department. Manzoor Naik, a prominent BJP leader from Budhal Assembly Segment claimed that by 2023 every house in Jammu and Kashmir will have a tap water connection under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scheme of the Union Government. 
Its pertinent to mention that Nearly 40 million Indians are affected by water borne disease every year, leading to about USD 600 million dollar annually in medical costs and labour loss. About 100,000 children under 5 years old die of diarrhea every year. Naik further said that BJP Government is spending Crores of rupees in every single Panchayat of Jammu and Kashmir to provide safe and clean drinking water to every single  household. He said water supply work is in full swing to make provision of tap water supply in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Other prominent persons present were Mohd Iqbal, Arshad Rahi, Mohd Liayaqt, Altaf Ahmed, Ashiq Ali, Abdul Latief and many others.
