With an aim to promote clean and healthy lifestyle in the society, Indian Army alongwith villagers and school children organised ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ at Govt Middle School Chassana, Govt Middle School Hassote, Govt High School Tharal and various other locations in unit area of responsibility of Rajouri & Reasi District.
“The aim of campaign was to spread awareness about need of cleanliness in their houses and surroundings for a healthy society”. The students were made to understand various health problems related to defecation in open, unplanned, waste disposal, unhygienic living conditions, sewage problems personal hygiene. After the campaign, a cleanliness drive was organised for cleaning the school campus and its surroundings.
The students and local youth enthusiastically participated in the event. The event culminated with all taking the pledge of keep their houses, mohallas, villagers, cities and country clean. A total of 235 students and 15 teachers were attended the event.
