'INDIAN ARMY LAUNCHES RESCUE OPERATIONS TO PROVIDE RELIEF AND SUCCOUR TO STRANDED'

Indian Army has always contributed in nation building in times of hostilities and also during natural calamities and worsening of internal situation in the area. 

On reception of input of tribal families stranded on higher reaches due to snow and severe rains from distt authorities, Indian Army immediately sprung into action and two columns of Indian Army were launched immediately in heavy rains and inclement weather conditions. Both columns of Indian Army after a difficult and arduous climb and braving inclement weather conditions for 24 hours reached Kogara and provided essential relief material to include blankets, rations and medicines to the tribal families comprising of seventeen males, thirteen females and three children.  

Tribal families thanked the Indian Army and expressed their profound gratitude for providing assistance to them in hours of need.
