NSS Unit of the GDC Thannamandi in collaboration with Department of Political Science under the aegis of IQAC celebrates National Voter’s Day. The theme of this year was “Nothing like Voting, I Vote for Sure”. The programme was conducted under the patronage of principal of the College Dr. Farooq Ahmed. The programme was started with welcome address by Prof. Muhammad Shoket NSS Programme Officer. The proceeding of the programme was conducted by Ms. Rabia NSS volunteer. A pledge taking ceremony was held in which all the staff members, students and NSS volunteers participated. Dr. Shazia Aftab Lecturer in Political Science enlightened the students regarding importance of the day. She elaborated about the registration process for new voters and the value of this day in our life. She also emphasized that everyone should cast his/her vote to build a strong democracy as well as Nation. All the faculty members were present during the programme. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Saina Jabeen NSS Volunteer.
