The first death from the Omicron variant of Corona has been recorded in Texas, USA. This person was not vaccinated. It has been said by the Health Department that the age of the victim was between 50 and 60 years.
The US Centers for Disease Control has said that as of last week, 73 percent of infection cases are related to new variants, so restrictions are being increased in different areas. However, President Joe Biden is not currently preparing to impose a lockdown. There has been a nearly six-fold increase in cases of Omicron infection in just one week.
Earlier, till the end of June, the cases of delta variants of Corona were increasing rapidly. The first death globally due to the Omicron variant of Corona was reported in Britain in early December. So far, 12 people have died in Britain due to the Omicron variant of Corona, while 104 people infected with Omicron are in hospital.
