Online registration for enrolment to Indian Army asAGNIVEER for Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh commenced on16 Feb 2023 as widely reported by several news agencies and presently theregistration is underway. The last date for online registration was 15 March2023.
DefenceServices have intimated that due to high enthusiasm and heavy demand from prospectivecandidates, online registration period has been extended upto 20 Mar 2023 tobenefit maximum youth from the UT of J & K and UT of Ladakh to benefit fromthe scheme.
Therecruitment rally for recruitment as AGNIVEERS under the AGNIPATH scheme byArmy Recruitment Office, Srinagar is tentatively scheduled to be conducted inJune 2023 at Anantnag High Ground, South Kashmir.
Alleligible unmarried male candidates born between 01 Oct 2002 to 01 Apr 2006 (both datesinclusive) with requisite educational qualifications from UT of J&K belonging to Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla,Pulwama, Badgam, Kupwara, Shopian, Ganderbal, Bandipura and Kulgam districtsand UT of Ladakh belonging to Leh and Kargil districtscan apply for enrolment under categories of AGNIVEER GeneralDuty, AGNIVEER Technical, AGNIVEER Clerk/Store Keeper Technical and AGNIVEERTradesmen. Candidates are advised to register online at websitewww.joinindianarmy.nic.in at the earliest. Indian Army further amplified that this would be the first recruitmentunder the new procedure introduced with the written examination being scheduledbefore the physical and medical test. Army Recruiting Office, Srinagar hasadvised that recruitment is a free service and selection is fair and purelybased on merit. No money is required tobepaid to anyone.
