Covid-19 Scare: Aspirants’ appeal to SSB to postpone Junior Assistant exam

'Covid-19 Scare: Aspirants’ appeal to SSB to postpone Junior Assistant exam'

The aspiring candidates for Junior Assistant posts have appealed to the authorities in Service Selection Board (SSB) to postpone their exams scheduled on January 22, saying a large number of aspirants have been tested Covid-19 positive.

Service Selection Board is going to conduct Junior Assistant exams on January 22 this month. Almost all the examinations have been postponed by authorities in wake of an upsurge in Covid-19 cases.

The aspirants told news agency Kashmir News Trust that they don’t understand the logic behind conducting the exam when dozens of aspirants have been tested Covid-19 positive.

“We don’t want to take any risk. Covid-19 cases are on rise and even dozens of aspirants who are supposed to appear in the exam have been tested positive. Even if these aspirants are able to make it, still there is a risk for other aspirants. We appeal to the SSB to postpone the exam till the Covid-19 scare diminishes,” they said
