'Commercial LPG cylinder cheaper by up to Rs 36.50'

In the midst of Navratri festival, there is news of relief for the common people. On the first day of the month, public sector oil and gas marketing companies have cut the price of commercial LPG cylinders by up to Rs 36.50. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG as of now. The new rates have come into effect from Saturday.



According to the website of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the price of 19 kg of commercial gas in the capital Delhi has come down by Rs 25.50 to Rs 1859.50 from October 1. Earlier its price was Rs 1885 per cylinder. Commercial gas cylinder in Kolkata will get cheaper by Rs 36.50 for Rs 1995.50, which was earlier available for Rs 1959.



Similarly, in the country's financial capital Mumbai, commercial gas will be cheaper by Rs 32.5 per cylinder for Rs 1811.50, compared to Rs 1844 earlier. At the same time, the price of LPG gas cylinder in Chennai has come down by Rs 35.5 to Rs 2009.50, while earlier this cylinder was available for Rs 2045. However, the domestic LPG cylinder of 14.2 kg will be available to the customers at the old price. It is noteworthy that the price of commercial gas cylinders has been cut for the sixth consecutive month. In May, its price had reached the highest at Rs 2354.
