Budgam Police recovered a kidnapped minor Girl within 24 hours and arrested the kidnapper.
On 01-09-2022 at about 18:30 hrs, Police Post Soibugh received a written complaint from one Abdul Majeed Khan resident of Khan Mohalla Soibugh stating therein that his daughter (minor) did not return home after school hours and the school administration stated that she didn't attend the School today.
Upon this a case FIR number 306/2022 under relevant Sections of Law was registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation was set into motion.
A special Police team was constituted under the supervision of Chowki Officer Soibugh to trace out the missing girl. During the course of investigation, the Police team acting swiftly raided various suspected locations. After strenuous efforts and working on some leads, the Police Party of Police Post Soibugh traced out the girl and recovered her from Khuri Batapora District Kulgam who was kidnapped by one Salib Ahmad Hella son of Assadullah Hella resident of Khuri Batapora Kulgam. The kidnapper has been arrested within 24 hours after commission of crime.
After fulfilling all legal formalities, the abductee girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the case is going on.
