'Army school closed in Jammu in view of terrorist incidents'

Due to increasing terrorist activities in Jammu region, the local administration and security agencies have jointly decided that all Army and Kendriya Vidyalaya schools will remain closed till July 27 and children will study online. The purpose of this decision is to keep children, teachers and school staff safe from potential threats.

The series of terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir is not stopping. In view of the increasing terrorist incidents, it has been decided to close the central and military schools in Jammu. Studies will be done through online medium in these schools for the next two days. Terrorist incidents have increased in Jammu and the valley since the Reasi terrorist attack on June 9.

The administration has decided to close all the schools along the Jammu Pathankot National Highway, including Army School Samba, Kendriya Vidyalaya Samba, Army School Ratnuchak, Army School Kaluchak.

This decision to close Army and Kendriya Vidyalaya schools is temporary and the schools will be reopened as soon as the situation becomes normal. At present, the administration and security agencies are taking every possible step giving priority to the safety of the children.
