The 75th anniversary of India's independence will be celebrated with great pomp not only in the country but also on foreign soil. A 220-feet tall Indo-US flag will be hoisted from an aircraft at a ceremony held in Boston, USA on August 15, in which representatives of 32 countries will participate.



Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has declared 75 years of India's independence as 'India Day'. He informed that India Day will be celebrated on August 14 and 15 respectively at State House and India Street in Rhode Island, Massachusetts. Former Indian cricketer RP Singh has been invited as the Grand Marshal in the parade to be held on the occasion.



The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) will organize the Freedom Gallery and Exhibition on India Street for the first time. In this, people will be reminded of the forgotten heroes of the freedom struggle. Union Minister Piyush Goyal has sent his video message for this occasion. He said that India-US relations have progressed a lot. Our partnership is strategic and has important dimensions.
