In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Jhajjar Kotli, PP Chatha, PP Sanik Colony acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized 10 different vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicles seized are as under:
1.) 3 vehicle i.e one tipper bearing JK02BB 2257, one tractor trolley bearing registration No JK21E 9524, one Dumper bearing registration No JK08K- 6976 by, PP Chatha.
2) 1 vehicle bearing Registration No JK14C 1973 by PS Jhajjar Kotli
3) 6 vehicles i.e One Vehicle bearing registration No JK21G-5717 and 5 vehicles without Registration No, by PP Sainik Colony
The recoveries were made by SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Vikram Sharma, I/C PP Chatha SI Ranjit Singh Chib and I/C PP Sanik Colony PSI Bhawani Singh in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon'ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
